On May 19th, the world’s first freestanding, transparent, acrylic Sky Pool will open in London, with Aquabatix performing on the night of the launch.
The 25 metre, three meter deep pool will enable swimmers to float 35 metres high in the sky with incredible views across the London skyline. The pool is suspended between two skyscrapers which are residential towers in the Embassy Gardens development by EcoWorld Ballymore. The complex includes 2000 luxury apartments, retail space plus bars, restaurants and landscaped gardens, with the Sky Pool being their ultimate show piece.
Sean Mulryan, Ballymore Chairman, said: ‘The vision for the Sky Pool stemmed from a desire to push the boundaries in the capability of construction and engineering.’
TV host and DJ Roman Kemp will host the opening along with ‘top synchronised swimming team, Aquabatix’ featuring, which will be live streamed across the globe.
Obviously, it will be the first time Aquabatix has performed in such a location, and with the best views from underneath the pool and above, the team are creating something really unique and special for the underwater show. With a Britain’s Got Talent final and an underwater residential show under their wing, no doubt the Aquabatix synchronised swimmers will produce a show stopping performance as always that will wow all those watching from around the world.
