The Berkeley and Aquabatix go many years back, when Aquabatix were invited to run a come and try synchronised swimming session for guests. The Maybourne Group also invited Aquabatix to perform at their global conference earlier this year in Dubai.

The event at The Berkeley was a true celebration of luxury and style, set against the stunning backdrop of London’s Hyde Park skyline. The Berkeley’s rooftop, already known for its sophistication and panoramic views having been renovated recently, was the perfect venue for such a grand affair. As the sun set on the longest day and the city lights began to twinkle, guests were treated to a spectacle that blended elegance and physical skill.

Aquabatix took to the pool, mesmerizing the audience with their team routine. The synchronised swimmers, dressed in vibrant orange halterneck swimsuits, moved in perfect harmony, their every motion a testament to their skill and grace. The choice of swimwear added a splash of summer colour, enhancing the visual appeal of the performance and reflecting the season’s lively spirit.

The evening continued with solo pieces, each showcasing individual talents while maintaining the overall theme of elegance and precision. These performances were accompanied by a live acoustic band, The Travelling Hands, whose music perfectly complemented the fluid movements of the swimmers. The combination of live music and synchronised swimming created an enchanting atmosphere that captivated everyone present.

Being part of The Maybourne Group, The Berkeley is no stranger to hosting grand and luxurious events. However, this Summer Solstice event set a new standard for sophistication and entertainment. The inclusion of Aquabatix and synchronised swimming added a unique and dynamic element to the evening, showcasing the versatility and appeal of rooftop swimming as a form of high-end entertainment.

Aquabatix’s synchronised swimmers brought elegance and excitement to the evening, their performances a highlight of the event. The Berkeley once again proved its place among the world’s most luxurious hotels, offering an experience that guests will remember for years to come and with the rooftop opening to the public from July 11th for summer evenings, everyone will be able to experience it.
