For a large part of the northern hemisphere, January is a month of cold dreary weather and hibernating after the excesses of the holiday season. To lift the mood, Aquabatix has pulled together a list of the top ten most luxurious pool party locations in the world. Marvel at where the rich and famous are invited to spend their long summer evenings with a cocktail in their hand, overlooking some of the most spectacular views in the world. When the pools look this good, just leave the splashing around to the entertainment.

Dubai’s most iconic 7 star hotel launched The Terrace in front of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid last year. The two pools float on top of the warm waters of the Arabian gulf, along with restaurants and a private beach area.

There is a private members club on site plus the venue is hired out for events and parties to the jet set.

It doesn’t get more glamorous than here.

Shimmy Beach Club, Cape Town

Shimmy Beach is Cape Town’s premier venue for the elite to play.

Situated at the V&A waterfront, there is a hydraulic stage and sprawling deck that leads down to an infinity pool and private beach.

Belmond Hotel Cipriani, Venice

Rumour has it that the pool at the Cipriani was built to the wrong dimensions, hence why it is so vast. The pool has become a main feature of this romantic Venetian classic 5 star hotel, which oozes Italian elegance looking out over the waterways of Venice.

Guests have included Giorgio Armani, Joan Collins, Steven Spielberg, George Clooney and even Royalty.

Saadiyat Beach Club, Abu Dhabi

Saadiyat Island is 500m off the coast of Abu Dhabi and is rapidly growing into the cultural hot spot of the Middle East.

No one does bling like the Middle East, however this location is a little subtler than its neighbour Dubai, and still relatively undiscovered by the C-list.
