New venues and exciting live performance opportunities are what Aquabatix thrives on, so they were delighted to be asked to perform alongside the incredibly talented Ella Eyre at Soho Farmhouse over the bank holiday weekend.
When the collaboration was suggested, Ella selected her hit song ‘Together’ as the track for the synchronised swimming performance and Aquabatix set to work. Tasked with a brief to create unique water entertainment to live music, Aquabatix choreographed a bespoke routine specifically for the exclusive event.
The live performance took place at the boathouse, which is home to a beautiful swimming pool that flows from inside to outside and is set into the lake. Ella encouraged the audience to get as up close and personal to the synchronised swimming performance as possible prior to singing her final song of the acoustic set, ‘Together’. The crowd stood all around the waters edge and even floated by on rowing boats trying to get the best view.
Creating a visual interpretation for the music, the routine started soft and fluid and built into impressive high lifts and jumps with the momentum of the song. The audience were captivated for the duration of the performance and gave a huge cheer at the end.
After the live performance, many people stopped to thank Aquabatix and Ella Eyre. Here are some of the lovely comments received:
‘Amazing performance, thank you so much, I loved it!’
‘I have never seen synchronised swimming live before, it looks amazing and much harder than I thought!’
