Vivienne Westwood’s SS24 Worlds End Campaign
In the bustling streets of South London’s Crystal Palace, amidst the architectural wonders and historic charm, a unique fusion of fashion and aquatic artistry unfolded to create Vivienne Westwood’s much-anticipated Spring/Summer 2024 World’s End campaign.
Take a breathtaking dive into uncharted waters, with the stunning collaboration of Aquabatix synchronised swimmers Celina Dembinska-Kenner and Savannah Gracey, along with some other top fashion and sport models, all modelling Vivienne Westwood’s new SS24 collection and captured through the lens of New York based fashion photographer Emily Lipson.
The essence of Vivienne Westwood’s design philosophy, which consistently challenges convention and embraces individuality, found a fluid expression in this innovative campaign. The pairing of Aquabatix’s synchronised swimmers graceful movement in water with Westwood’s avant-garde aesthetic created a visual symphony that transcended traditional fashion boundaries.
At the helm of this creative endeavor was fashion photographer Emily Lipson, whose keen eye and artistic vision beautifully encapsulated the synergy between fashion and aquatic movement. Through her lens, she captured Celina and Savannah’s harmonious blend of athleticism and elegance for the Vivienne Westwood SS24 Worlds End Campaign.
Stylist Rubina Marchiori curated a wardrobe that seamlessly integrated Vivienne Westwood’s iconic designs with the fluidity of water. Each ensemble reflected Westwood’s signature blend of punk sensibility and haute couture, with bold prints and of course, the brand’s infamous platform shoes—a symbol of rebellion and individuality—worn effortlessly not just underwater but with legs synchronised above the surface as well.
Central to the campaign’s allure was the casting direction of Emma Matell, whose discerning eye ensured that Celina and Savannah embodied the spirit of Westwood’s vision. Their poise, strength, and undeniable talent brought the collection to life in a way that was both mesmerizing and empowering.
In the backdrop of Crystal Palace’s historic swimming pool building, the SS24 World’s End campaign became a celebration of liberation and self-expression. It encapsulated Vivienne Westwood’s unwavering commitment to sustainability and activism, reminding us that fashion is not merely about garments but also about the stories they tell and the values they represent.
Katie Beddoe who is a Junior Content Editor for Vivienne Westwood mentioned “we are so happy with the results!”
