Aquabatix recently featured in the music video for up and coming pop star, Bow Anderson, for her new song Island.
The up and coming Scottish music star sings about empowerment, and being over someone and finding your true worth. The video accompanying the song, shows girls having fun on the beach, with synchronised swimmers performing in the sea.
Filming music videos took a slightly different turn in lockdown. With several restrictions in place, Margate became home for the tropical island location.
Walpole tidal pool was used for the synchronised swimming. On a grey Summer’s day, with jelly fish floating around, the girls braved the cold water and performed several choreographed sequences being filmed by a drone and well as from the side. Rebecca and Hannah, both former Great Britain competitive synchronised swimmers, feature for Aquabatix in the video.
Directed by Emily Mcdon, who said she had always wanted to film synchronised swimmers, the two Aquabatix girls spent an hour in the sea water performing their routine for the crew, with Bow Anderson singing in the foreground on some shots. To view the full video click here!
