British fashion designer Stella McCartney diversified her fashion design skills yet again with the launch of her Adidas SS14 collection; entering into the world of serious sports clothing.
In a bid to present her new collection in action rather than the usual catwalk show, and capture the attention of the press at the event, the innovative designer enlisted serious sports professionals to perform in her clothing.
The stage for Stella’s statement launch was set at a warehouse in London where the designer envisioned a dynamic display of sporting prowress and haute couture sporting fashion. Sports professionals were stationed around the warehouse, wearing the range whilst exercising and performing.
The designer was very keen to use Aquabatique to model and perform in her swimsuit range after seeing their performances on Britain’s Got Talent.
The tank was erected close to the entrance to create the ultimate wow factor as guests walked in, with performances of a bespoke routine specially choreographed for the event, being performed every 30 minutes throughout the 3-hour event.
Aquabatique, made famous for performing on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, has since performed worldwide in its own ‘Aquatheatre’ that can be transported anywhere. The four talented swimmers that make up the act have had over 1 million hits on You Tube for their Britain’s Got Talent audition.
The picture of Stella and the Aquabatique girls featured in Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Elle, In Style, Barneys New York online, Yahoo! news, The Guardian, Hello magazine and The Financial Times to name just a few.
Stella McCartney: “I Love It. They are amazing”.
