Photo shoot at Pinewood

In December, Aquabatix joined forces with photographer Phoebe Rudomino www.phoeberudomino to create a ‘magical’ underwater photo shoot at Pinewood Studios Underwater Stage. The purpose behind the shoot was to create images with an enchanted Christmas theme that were different from anything else ever shot underwater. In order to create the amazing fairy costumes for the Aquabatix athletes to model, Aquabatix contacted Art Director Rosanne Westwood www.rosannawestwood.com who made the incredible wings and developed the look and feel for the shoot.

Aquabatix also asked stylist Emma Carlsen www.lickerish.biz to create the outfits for the athletes and make-up artists Lan Nguyen www.lan-makeup.com and Kristel Chow www.kristelchow.com to ensure the make up was as create and effective as the outfits. Aquabatix Directors Katie Fried and Adele Carlsen directed the shoot and Aquabatix athletes Asha Randall, Emily Kuhl and Tia Randall were ‘fairies’ for the day.
