Event Awards 2008 Highly Commended award for Aquabatix

Aquabatix received the Highly commended award and finished an impressive second in the Entertainment of the Year category at the Event Awards 2008.

Receiving this award for Entertainment of the Year reaffirms that Aquabatix has gone from strength to strength this year utilising the creative talents of its Directors, coaches, choreographers, and athletes'. The company hopes to be a strong contender for winning this category next year.

Since entering the Awards, the Aquabatix team has tackled events both familiar and unfamiliar - from a Grand opening for CityWalk Shopping complex in Hong Kong, with the already successful Sync Tank act, to performing in the Serpentine for the Red Bull Flugtag.

The company has expanded beyond expectations in 2008, after continually accepting new challenges - such as a contemporary dance routine choreographed in just a foot of water for Listerine. Athletes have impressed record producers with their underwater craft in music videos for Friendly Fires and Ivyrise, as well as dazzling executives at the Haymarket hotel, which now hosts Aquabatix monthly for corporate functions.
