Nike Victory Swim Campaign
Nike has released news of its Victory Swim collection, which features an Aquabatix synchronised swimmer in the campaign. Aquabatix also provided artistic underwater movement direction for the Nike models and photographer.
The two day shoot took place in the Olympic diving pool on top of Montjuic in Barcelona. Shot by photographer Ben Miller, the Aquabatix models, Clara and Claudia, used their synchronised swimming skills to show technical and artistic movement underwater, which features Clara in some of the campaign images. They also helped the models with underwater poses and creative movement in water for their shots. Most of the models were not professional swimmers, so the Aquabatix ladies showed them techniques to stay underwater, hold themselves still in water and use their energy efficiently as well as ways to relax their faces in the water. They also assisted the photographer with movement and posing ideas in the water, some of which ended up being featured in the campaign with Clara.
The Victory Swim collection includes the Nike Victory full coverage suit, along with separate options such as the Nike Victory Swim Hijab, swim tunic top and swim leggings. Whilst the collection will be released on February 1st 2020, Nike has released several images, behind the scenes footage and details of their Victory Swim campaign.
British Vogue, The New Yorker, Harpers Bazaar, Glamour magazine, The Independent, Vogue Arabia, Elle, Women’s Health Magazine and CNN, all carried the story, with Clara’s images featuring in British Vogue, Glamour and Vogue Arabia.
